MIGUEL´S GRADUATION

Miguel now is a professional

We are very thankful with the Lord because he allowed Miguel to finish with his trade career this year,he has been with us for almost 12 yrs. Miguel was studying electronics and he learned a lot of things. He is also studying English on the weekends and he is doing very good.
Here in Guatemala it is a great accomplishment and very important to finish a trade career because the majority do not have money to continue studying at the university. With a trade career they can get a job to help with the expenses of the home and Lord willing support a family in the future.
Miguel wants to work next year and take a year to decide what he really would like to study because he has not decided yet what career he wants to study.
He is receiving his certificate with his spiritual parents!

Victor& Chici had the honor of  walking with him to receive his diploma.!
We would like him to go to college when he is ready to get a better education. We are praying for Miguel to get the necessary support to attend college.
Having dinner to celebrate Miguel´s guaduation
His sister Doris celebrated with him

We want to thank all of you that have supported our home and especially thank the people who personally supported Miguel may God Bless you all !

Visitors 2013

We had a very good time at the children´s home and at the rehab center the last few summer months with all the visitors and teams that came to visit us. It is always nice to see new faces and to see our friends every year. It was a blessing for all of us to see the love that all the visitors showed to our children and staff. Our children enjoyed the time with everybody playing, eating, making crafts and worshiping the Lord.
It was also really nice to see how all the visitors where so loving and friendly to the men at the Rehab center.
The men at the rehab center also enjoyed the time making crafts and singing together. It was a blessing to have all of you sharing the love of God with us.Unfortunately we don't have pictures of the Father's House team and Christ Chapel which also has been a big help to us through the years thank you very much for coming and visiting our children.

Mision Fiesta

Willy's group
We are very grateful to the brothers and sisters from different churches and groups that  came down to  support us with the different projects;    Mission Fiesta,  Assembly Of God in Immokalee, Friends Lutheran Church, Living Hope Church, Spiritual Life Fellowship, Give Joy 2 One Foundation, Christ Chapel, The Father House, and Calvary Chapel of Marlton, Orphan Resources, and Passion Missions. We now have the new Sunday school building and also a storage room at the rehab center. In the boys home we have a very nice driveway for our vehicles and where the children are riding their bikes and the skateboards. At the rehab center we are building a house for Sandra and Sonia that is going to be more private and comfortable. We enjoyed the time with everybody; working, eating, making crafts, playing and worshiping God. We appreciate the love that they showed to all of us in everything they did.

Rehoboth Home for Children

Update on our activities during vacation time which here in Guatemala is approximately October 15th to Jan .15th; Some of our activities and outings are: Devotions, Bible classes, outings to water parks, climb the Agua Volcano, take walks to different open areas close to town with a lot of wooded areas and beautiful scenery and there are some places where we would like to take our children that are very expensive but will be very nice for a retreat. We are conscious about the problems with the economy, but we really want to give a very good time to the children. We want them to run, play, and swim, and enjoy all the activities that they didn´t have before because of the hard living situation that they had.
Most of our children have very bad emotional problems but we know that all these activities are going to help them to feel the love of a family and of Christ!

Our biggest need is for the camp we need to get funds to cover the expenses; food, tickets for the parks, transportation, and snacks. We would like to count on your help, please help us to have a very good vacation time for the children & staff which also never has an opportunity for vacation and fun!
You can help them with the amount that the Lord is going to put on your heart.
The cost is approximately $25.00 per person =26 people = $650.00

            God bless you all.

Luis had a surgery

Luis has been with us a few few years and is from the same village we live in,it is very hard for him to pass his home where his family live, they never have come to visit him or even ask how he is  ! he literally has been abandoned !He was removed from his home for extreme abuse the police brought him to us  ,he has a broken heart which we know God will heal!

Luis is 13 years old and he had a problem since he was a child but nobody knew that until one of the staff at the children´s home notice that it was not normal, so we took him to the hospital and the doctor said that it was something that needed a surgery. We made all the paper work at the Obras Sociales Hospital in Antigua and he had the appointment with a team that was coming from Houston with all kinds of specialist. The doctor decided to do the surgery last week and while she was doing the surgery she also found a hernia , so Luis had two surgeries in one.  We are very thankful with God and also with the team that did the surgery and the hospital Obras social which always helps the poor !

God always open doors for our children for whatever their needs are!. Please keep Luis in prayer so the Lord can also heal his heart. Now he is doing very good.

May God Bless u all .

Groups helping us to start the Year

It is very nice to start the year with groups that are coming to fellowship with all of us at the children´s home and the rehab centre. We were very happy to have Willy´s group and to see again the guys: Tom, Bob, Dan and Paul. There is alway a proyect for them and this time they started building a room for the Sunday School at the rehab center.  It is really a blessing to make a proyect with a lot of love and also to have time at the church, rehab center and children´s home to fellowship.
