Christmas Celebration

We at Rehoboth Children Home had a great time on Christmas because many brothers and sisters in Christ from the States and Guatemala helped to make this time very special for us. This year was different becuase Victor and Chici Barbella were not here and we all missed them a lot but the love of Jesus made all of us to be content with this situation.  At Christmas Eve we had service at church and we worship the Lord Jesus and we enjoy the fellowship and also the typical food (tamales and chocolate) after the service the children went back home to open their presents and it was really nice to see all of them very happy opening gifts. Every child received a special present because God provided everything for them through his people.
 We thank the Sprecher Family for the love that they have for us. They came the 25th to bring special lunch for everybody and spent time with us all the afternoon. We ate turkey, pork, salad, vegatables, and delicious cookies. God blessed the children with love and care from different people. Thanks everybody for your help and love. God bless you.

We want to express gratitude to God because he has always been faithful; we also want to thank the church Gracia Soberana de Gathersburg MD, Pastor Joselo Mercado and the mission team formed by Carol, Luis Gonzales, Luis and Becky Betancourt, Victor and Claudia Quiroga & Mario and Amy Taracena. Thank you for having in your heart the desire of helping the children, we really appreciate the donation and the children are excited to use their new backpacks and the school supplies next year! they were also excited to see their sneakers shoes. Through this the boys can feel the love that God has for them, they can also see that people care about them. Thanks for Making a blessing Christmas to our children

We want to thank to our friends Rudy & Nelly Campbell and also the Friendship Baptist Church for the love and support that they have given to our children. It is a blessing for the children to receive a present for Christmas and know that there are brothers and sisters in Christ that are thinking on them. 
The teenagers asked for money as a Christmas present to buy clothing, so it was very exciting for them to go to the market and chose their own clothes. The two boys that are in transition home bought some personal things that they needed. They like to wear new clothe for Christmas Eve.

Happy birthday Fredy, Michael, Baleriano and Victor. We are glad to                                           see you growing and becoming teenagers!



    

    

 

Christmas started with the decoration of the tree. The children have a lot of curiosity, they love to check all the boxes with all the Christmas decoration. They also love to have the typical Christmas dish for that day (tamales and ponche). This year was very special time for the new children that are going to spend their first Christmas here. It was very nice to see their faces when they saw the Christmas tree with all the lights. 

 Of course the children love to see the train under the Christmas tree.

We are thankful with God because he allowed us to go and share a special time with the children at Florencia. The children enjoyed this time walking, running and competing among them. They also had a delicious lunch which they really liked!

We are very proud of Dennis because he is accomplishing one of his goal, he is graduating from 9th. Next year he is going to continue a career about Tourism. We are thankful with God because He is giving us the opportunity of seen Dennis becoming a young man

        

 We are very thankful with the group Mission Fiesta for having been sharing with our children for many years, Yesterday the children enjoyed the pizza, nachos, cake and ice-cream and they had a wonderful time. We miss all our friends from Mission Fiesta and we hope to see them soon. Thanks God bless.

We thank God because he is allowing us to finish building the new house, this week we started putting the floor. It looks awesome!
